Founded in the early 1990s, Squaw Valley Islamic Settlement began as a bold vision for a self-sustaining Muslim community beyond the busy city — a place to live, work, and practice deen together. Decades ahead of its time, the community has evolved, but its heart remains: a small masjid serving the five daily prayers, hosting weekend retreats, and welcoming travelers headed to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks for rest and reflection along the way.
We are a small, established non-profit masjid and community tucked in the mountains, offering a quiet place to pray, gather, and reflect away from the city. For over three decades we've welcomed residents and travelers alike — including many heading to or from Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks — to rest, pray, and be part of the community.
The masjid is open and offers all five daily prayers as a service to the community and to travelers passing through. Adhan times below are calculated live for our location; Iqama (start of congregational prayer) follows shortly after, as shown on each card.
